Samantha Bee is a Canadian-American comedian and political commentator, who spent 12 years as a correspondent on The Daily Show—when it was anchored by someone with more wit and sense than its current host.
Today, she hosts Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, and while she tries her best to be a comedian, Bee’s lack of knowledge about the Second Amendment is anything but funny.
Bee recently hosted a segment in which she tried to demonstrate that it is easier to buy a gun than an Eddie Eagle costume—the mascot for the NRA’s gun-safety initiative. Comparing a firearm to a trademark like Eddie Eagle is an analogy that doesn’t hold up to examination. The Second Amendment reiterates that firearms are a protected good, a natural right that cannot be denied unjustly of the people. Eddie Eagle is not a good. It’s private property. Bee believes firearms are regulated the exact same way as intellectual property, which lacks any type of rational basis. She is a Canadian, so maybe she’s also a naturalized citizen, but she certainly doesn't demonstrate a citizen's understanding of our nation's laws. Not to mention, current laws prohibit individuals from possessing a gun if they have been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic or a felony; have a drug addiction; are here illegally; have been discharged dishonorably from the military; are subject to a protective order; or have renounced citizenship.
But like the rest of her friends in the corrupt media, facts don’t matter to Bee’s agenda. In the aftermath of the terrorist attack at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Bee placed blame for the tragedy on guns instead of radical Islamic terrorism. That type of thinking is as dangerous as Bee wearing an Eddie Eagle costume—which represents gun-safety initiatives for children—made of firearms and bullets.

It All Comes Down To Our Voice Against Their Deceit
